Remember the movie "Thelm & Louise"? It was filmed at the West Rim...Guano Point is where they drove the car off the edge, and the Hualapai Indians don't want you pulling another Thelma and Louise, so they drive. Others You have to use the shuttle until Nov 30. http://www.nps.gov/archive/grca/grandcan... The west rim would be the Hermit road. If you are planning a day-hike down those trails on the west-end, especially with a group, you can get permission to "crash the gate". We did that back in 2003. If you are just wanting to see the canyon from the rim -- then it's the bus, for you. . |
