Las vegas help? |
Travel Info im planning a trip to las vegas at the end of the month, and i was wondering whats there to do for teenagers? my son is 16 and therefore cant gamble, obviously, and is too old for circus circus. does anyone have some places for us as a family or just for him? thanks Travel Tips Circus Circus has the adventure dome, which a 16 would enjoy, my daughter goes there quite a bit. She is 15. There are roller coasters at NYNY, rides at the top of Stratosphere and the roller coaster at Sahara along with simulated Nascar rides. For the person that said Wet N Wild is at the North end of the strip, it has not been her for the last couple of years. They are building a new hotel in that spot now. Off the strip at The Orleans has a bowling alley and movie theater also theater at the Palms. The free things to do in the evening would be the light show on Fremont street also has concerts on the weekends, Sirens at TI, Volcano at Mirage, Fountains at Bellagio to name a few. The Star Trek Experience at Las Vegas Hilton. Many things to keep a teen busy. Source(s): Live in Las Vegas Other Travel Tips Circus Circus has a great indoor amusement park out back and Wet-N-Wild is on the north end of the strip. Either one of those should keep him busy all day. Most of the hotels on the upper end of the strip have alot of family activities. There are several shows, like "O", the new Beatles show at the Mirage, Cirque du soleil, commedians etc. They all also have very nice pools, where it seems most of the young crowd hang out during the day. They all have "free shows" as well, but mostly from dusk on, like the fontains at the Bellagio, the pirate show at Treasure Island, The Volcano at the Mirage and some very cool and different shows nightly/hourly at the Wynn. The Fashion Mall is also in the same area. I would suggest taking a day trip to Lake Meede and the damn. You can go out on a nice boat trip from there. You can also take a helicoptor tour of the Grand Canyon.... google search family activities Las Vegas Been there 2 many times Fremont Street Experience This beautifully landscaped area includes a misting system, retail carts, kiosks, and FREE mall entertainment. Plus, one-of-a-kind Light and Sound Shows derived from over 2 million lights and 540,000 watts of concert quality sound, presented each night at dusk. The Aquarium at the Mirage As you check in at the front desk, you'll be greeted by a 20,000-gallon saltwater aquarium stocked with angelfish, pufferfish, tangs and other exotic sea creatures - including three different kinds of sharks. Guinness World of Records Museum - Las Vegas See the Guinness Book of Records brought to life at this wacky, weird and wonderful museum located right on the Las Vegas Strip, just 1/2 block north of Circus Circus Hotel at 2780 Las Vegas Blvd. South Wet 'N Wild - Las Vegas Wet 'n Wild, America's most exhilarating water park, is located on the glittering Las Vegas Strip in the Entertainment Capital of the World. Imax ridefilm at the Luxor Take a trip "In Search Of The Obelisk" in Luxor's realistic motion simulator ride where you will visit the dig-site of a spectacular subterranean civilization. And most hotels have beautiful swimming pools. Sometime 16 year olds just want to "kick back". Or try the visitors center they should have a wealth of information. Have fun... I love it there Las Vegas is a Disneyland for adults. It has totally turned from the attempt to be 'family friendly' which it tried for a few years. It is no place for kids. My suggestion is to take the kids elsewhere and wait until you and your spouse can go to Vegas alone. It will be more enjoyable for both them and the adults who go to Vegas to get away from kids. |
