How much money should I take to Las Vegas? |
Travel Info My budget is tight. I will be there three nights, I have an 8-hour conference one of the days, and do not plan to gamble too much. Travel Tips You can enjoy several things in Vegas that are free or low cost. check www.vegas.com and look at the section for attractions, then the free stuff like the Fountains at the Bellagio as well as the Botanical Gardens, see the Lions at the MGM, you get the drift. If you want to see a few things and can spend the money go the shark reef at Mandalay bay, the Eiffel tower at the Paris, if you want there is the roller coaster at the NY NY many of these range from $10-$15. so you can have plenty to do and see without gambling. If you plan on partying several night clubs let women in with no cover charge and well the drinks may or may not cost you depending if anyone else is buying them for you. Don't run a tab you will be out of money in one night. Budget for food can range from $25-$100 per day depending on what and were you plan to eat. I always budget $100 per day on meals for two of us and never seem to go over my budget. Shows can start around $75 on up if you plan on that. Spas start around $110 plus gratuity. I would take $500-$650 for food and activities depending if you want to have a spa or see a show. I never budget more than $500 for the two of us for gambling. Hope this helps you Have fun Glenn Source(s): www.vegas.com Other Travel Tips As with all trips, take twice as much money and half as many clothes. I guess if I was your personal banker, this would be easy. Since I am not Nostradamus, I'll give you the very obvious answer of no more than you can comfortably afford to lose and not hate yourself too much for doing it. Whatever you bring, be careful not to blow your wad on the first night. Nothing is worse than losing it all on the first night. I wouldn't take much as the more you take the more you stand to lose....I've found I have fun just walking up and down the strip and seeing the sights, walk around in the casinos too, they are incredible. I like to spend time down by the Tropican listening to the music they play outside...but that's just me.. Just go and have fun, remember after all it is Vegas! $1,200 should be plenty If it's gambling money you are talking about, I wouldn't take any more than you can afford to lose. That way you'll have a great time, be entertained and not get yourself into financial trouble. |
