Going to Vegas for the weekend next month...any cool hotel/casino ideas to book my stay at?

Travel Tips
Yes Mandalay is my fav hotel simply for the sheer size, entertainment, amenities, dining, etc. BUT the pool there is super crowded. I just went there last month and it was PACKED with people. I thought I was going to pass out walking around in the 100 degrees heat looking for an empty beach chair.

Bellagio is another great choice. Centrally located with great amenities and great dining. Their rooms were great too. But will no doubt be on the pricier side.

GL!

They're all pretty cool, but expensive.
I am a Vegas native, so if it's your first time here I recommend staying at one f the nicer more "central" hotels so it's easier to get around like, Aladdin Planet Hollywod, Bellagio, or Venetian. If you have been here before, or if you just want to save more money to gamble with there is a Motel 6 right on the strip (Tropicana & Koval)!
Most places offer food comps and some slot plays, or chips if you choose their hotel. If you tell them how much money (cash)your group is coming with they'd fly you in and treat you real good if you spending big. Your smaller places are cheaper than the bigger hotels. So much to see and do to stay in the hotel room.
Since its the middle of the summer, I would go with a place with a great pool. Mandalay Bay and MGM probably have the 2 best pools in Vegas. They both also have good rooms, great restaurants and aren't overly expensive. I actually prefer MGM since it has a little better location and is usually a little cheaper. MB definitely has a better pool.

Another great option is the Flamingo. It is cheaper than MGM or Mandalay Bay but still has a great pool and the location is unbeatable. It is mid-strip, within easy walking distance of 8 or 10 casinos including Bellagio, Caesars, Venetian and Mirage plus it has also has a monorail station.
