Attention frequent fliers?

Travel Info
Does flying make your sinuses....better or worse?? Should I take something over the counter??

Travel Tips
I fly enough to have owned a companion pass for the last 4 years. When I fly with congestion, I take Alavert which does not make me drowsy. Whenever my ear(s) is bothering me with pressure, I have the flight attendant put some wet napkins in a coffee cup and heat it in the microwave until it is steamy. I put the steamy cup over my earhole and the steam relieves the pressure tremendously. I don't care if people laugh as it's better than possibly breaking your eardrum (plus it feels great). Source(s): Tried and true, I've done it too many times.
Other Travel Tips
I have terrible allergy and sinus problems. However, I've never experienced any problems at all during flight (or after). You can take a decongestant if you are miserable and dealing with sinus pressure, it certainly wouldn't hurt.
I find flying makes my sinuses worse, I don't know what there is yo take for it sorry
