How is baggage claim at McCarran Airport in Las Vegas? |
Travel Info How is baggage claim at McCarran Airport in Las Vegas? Travel Tips I personally find McCarran to be one of the easiest airports to navigate, especially considering how busy it is. I've never had problems claiming my bags there. The carousels are labeled as to which airline they serve, and each carousel has its own screen showing which flight numbers are being processed, with the one that's currently unloading flashing. It is a good idea to tie some sort of ribbon onto your bag to make it easier to spot. (But red seems to be a common choice, so I'd choose something else.) Source(s): Las Vegas local. Other Travel Tips Just grab the bag that you like the most. It is really busy. I tied a ribbon onto my bag. that really helped me find it and get to my hotel fast. Try a light green , blue , red ribbon. It is one of the biggest I have ever seen since there is 1 central area for all of the terminals except the International. Just make sure you get the carousel number before getting there and you will be fine. A couple of nice things about it is that its close to ground transport and also has hotel check-ins for several casinos right there. It is busy, busy, been there 3 times and never had a problem with baggage or anything else. I live in Vegas and have to fly out of McCarran about twice a month. The airport is busy, but easy to get from ticketing to terminal and terminal to baggage. However, getting your luggage takes time. I usually wait 30 to 45 minutes for my luggage to make it to baggage claim. Make sure you keep your ticket stubs, b/c about 25% of the time there is someone checking to make sure you have the right bags. |
