Making a good impression in lebanon?

Hi! This is another question in the ongoing saga of me going over to Lebanon this summer, in case you have seen my questions before.

I like to be quiet I think. I really like to mind my own business and to just be sort of quiet. My boyfriend has told me that all his huge family and all his friends are like SO EXCITED to meet me. From what I have been told on YA, it seems like the Lebanese people are almost sort of nosy(not in a bad way)? I know that will make me uncomfortable. I know you don't know his specific family or friends, but what kind of things do you think I should expect??? Are people interested in the United States a lot and do you think I will have to talk about that? What do you think I can expect in that area.

Depends on his family, but usually if his family will find you interesting (like a very nice person) you will be seen as one of them.

Don't be so concerned .My wife & I went last year for the same reason , to meet my family . They will embrace you , love you & you will have a ball ! My wife is a blue eyed blonde ...a big hit ! Sure you will stand out but people will be captivated by you .
As far as dress is concerned , I guess it depends where you go .If you need new clothes , get them there ....very latest fashion & very good prices because the dollar has a lot of value .We will be there again in June /July as well...maybe we will see each other..
dont worry you will like it do you kno where his family lives im lebanese i go every summer and you can wear whatever everything thats in fashion here is in fashion there no you wont stick out as much as you think you will they will just say oh shes a tourist thats all but i hope you have fun and dont worry it will be fun
I think that you are trying too hard. You sound like a pretty nice person, so just be yourself. Being "a foreigner" people aren't expecting you to behave like us, so just be friendly and simple that's all.
We like to dress up in general, even during the day so keep this in mind when shopping.
You don't have to worry, really...the family and neighbours are usually nosy but in a good way, you'll be laughing about it.

People here wear mostly jeans during the day but in summer it's pretty warm out there so you might want to bring a couple of shorts and skirt...for the night club, women wear jeans or skirts with sexy tops and heels...it depends on your taste in cloths but mostly be yourself in whatever you choose so you would be comfortable.

And I don't think you'll stick out much, lots of Lebanese have colored eyes and blonde hair.

As for clubs, you can wear what you feel comfortable with, casual, sexy, anything but gowns in night clubs :D
