Dear Lebanese/people in Lebanon, which city are you from & what religion? |
Travel Info Just curious. Anyway we do respect whatever religion you guys embraced, thanks! Cheers, We are Muslims from Kuala Lumpur. Travel Tips I'm from Jounieh...I dunno why you need to know what my religion is...you have to understand one thing, classifying people according to their religion can lead to problems...this is what caused civil war in Lebanon in the 70s. I learn to like people no matter where they're from, I don't pick my friends according to what religion they practice. In Lebanon we have 18 sects, but the major 3 are Maronite-Christians, Sunni-Muslims and Shiite_Muslims We practice our religions freely and we have holidays according to all the sects that we have (so we have quite a few holidays...lol) I hope this helps you Others im originally from saida but i live in beirut coz i study here...im sorry no religions here,the fact the we are lebanese human beings is enough yes there are christians and muslims,the percentage is almost the same for both,about practicing the religion....well we are like anyother country some do and some dont,we might be a little more open minded than other arab countries but m advice to u dont try to post questions here asking about religion,we dont really like it that way i'm from Cairo/Egypt, and i'm Muslim :) i love lebaneese section :) i donno about religions in lebanon, i just know that they r muslims n christians... but i can tell u about religions in Egypt Beirut Christian hey beautiful im from australia and im a muslim.
