Travel Info What are your thoughts about the syrian people (NOT GOV'T)? Travel Tips well if ur asking about the people then i dont really know but i think that they are like others,some are good others are bad,and i agree with webby that i feel sorry for them for being opressed and kate is absolutely right about their shows,im watching one right now for ayman zaidan(i really like him),and listen to jos,dont ask about the syrian government in a lebanese category Others Actually, even the government is a pretty good one. They attempted to open talks with Israel, but America pressured Israel not too :( Anyway, most of my friends are actually 1st generation american born Syrians (I'm Iraqi) The truth is, they're no different from any other people. If you've been to Syria, the biggest thing you'll notice is the wonderful attitudes of the people. They are very nice, and are probably the best-tempered out of the whole Arabian lot. I feel rather sorry for them. They are oppressed and living under a ruthless disctatorship. it must be hard to live in a country where you're not allowed to have your say. Even the ones who live in Australia worry that if they say the wrong thing they'll be too scared to visit Syria. Edit: Eagle, the Syrians I know are all nice people. It's your government that we have issues with. I wish all the people like SYRIAN..they are good ppl no doubt..!!! I know a few Syrians here, they are good people. They are kind, generous and caring for others; they make great friends. Syrian :) |
