Inappropriate for a wedding!?

a close family member is getting married, and his wife specifically asked everybody to stay away from all white, off white, and cream colors. i was thinking about showing up in white to piss her off, but then decided not to lol.

but i found a dress that is floor length and a pale pink.

What do you think, is it too close to white and those "prohibbited" colors or is the color okay?

For me all that about not to wear white in another girl's bride, is a nonsense.
The bride will bright anyways......just bcoz of that, just bcoz is the BRIDE
What kind of person needs to bright asking another ones not to wear white??
Thx God in my country brides and relatives and even guests can use white if they want, and be sure that the bride is always the most beautiful.

Anyways.......about your question...........pale pink is a nice colour.............and is not white.

A darker pink should be fine. Don't get a too fancy dress though. It's the brides day after all.
Color is nice and not too close to white. You will light up the party baby. Accentuate with a beautiful flower on your hair. Tiny pink flowers like a tiara. You'll grab that attention you prohibited from..lol

if you like the pink dress then by all means wear it to the wedding because you probably won't be the only one wearing a light colour close to white...im sure more of your family members feel the same way :)

A girl after my own heart. I too would wear white. LOL I think pale pink is fine. It is customary to not wear any shades of white to a wedding, as it is the brides day. But for her to personally tell people was bit rude, most people know the "dont wear white unless you are the bride rule" Have a good time!
A lot of people think wedding guests should avoid wearing white (or light colors) because it steals the bride's thunder, so to speak. I personally think everyone needs to lighten up about weddings, but that's neither here nor there. It's the bride's special day, and her request isn't completely outrageous, so it would be a nice gesture to respect her wishes. I would really have to see just how pale your pale pink dress is to say, but you might just want to err on the side of caution and wear a darker color.
