Travel Info When do you think that children should be taught about sex, if at all? Travel Tips children should be taught about their body when they are as young as 3 years old (starting school age) they should be taught to clean themselves in their "private parts" and not let anyone touch them there not even Mommy and Daddy(that is so important) and to come to Mommy or Daddy if someone does that to them. Then sex education will be taught gradually to them depending on their questions, like when my 5 year old asked me about babies and where they come from...I was puzzled...I didn't want to tell him lies or stupid stuff so we bought a book and I read it to him and showed him the pictures (it was all about how the sperm comes from the Daddy and goes into the ovule and the baby is made and kept in Mommy's tummy for 9 months etc...) a very simple explanation for his age. Now as he will grow older the explanation will differ of course. But he already has a correct idea about it. I think children should be taught about sex so that when they are teenagers they would be taught about contraceptive methodes and taught about the "spiritual" meaning of sex in hopes that they will wait until they are married to express their "love". Others Sex education would be helpful i don't know when exactly... but lots of concepts should be explained so they' dont have it all messed up.. whenever they ask... its best they hear it from a family member than a stranger or a friend and get false information....like i did :P For my experience with my sons.........the kids have to be taught when they start asking. And always have to say the truth....and no more than they ask. They cant understand everything, and will ask according with the necessity to know . Each time they ask....one has to reply. Kids nowadays are so much smart....not like us, that were told that babies were brought by a big white stork !!!!
