Plastic surgery: record numbers for lebanon? |
Travel Info Did i not point out that the culture has changed, now what kind of people do u all feel need plastic surgery??????? It seems liek a very shallow thing to do and what do u think of a society where most of the people opt for plastic surgery. Are we still gonna be in denial folks????????? I gotta see how you leb girls squirm out of this one lol Travel Tips Well, I think all over the world it is becoming more and more common. I live in England and it is really getting common here too. It's not considered as something just for celebrities anymore. In Lebanon, nearly all of the singers get surgeries鈥ike Nancy, Haifa, Elissa and so on. This, in turn, influences young girls and women who watch the pop videos at home. They then feel a lot of pressure to look as good as the stars. I don't think plastic surgery is a bad thing but it can get out of hand. For example, people end up getting things done that they didn't need! Look at Nawal Zolghbi鈥he didn't need surgery and was more natural before. But then again, some people look better afterwards. I had a surgery once 鈥veryone was telling me 'OMG you don't need it!! You are so pretty how you are!'. I was even offerred modelling jobs before my surgery but I just wanted a smaller and cuter nose. Now that I've done it, I can honestly say..it was the best thing I ever did. Now I feel much better. I was lucky that I chose a great surgeon and he did a wonderful job. Now everyone compliments how, even though my nose was ok before, now I look even better. I did lack a bit of confidence from it before but now I am sooo confident and happy. But for me that's it鈥 don't want to end up doing anything else鈥ow I'm 100% happy. My opinion might be different to yours but we are all different aren't we? Edit: It's so interesting that you would want us to email you and that you would think that it requires humility to do so. I never thought I was superior to you, it only goes to reinforce my opinion of that inner battle you are leading and the self image you have of yourself. Asking you to email me was just to confirm your interest in us having a discussion. I'm currently at work with limited free time, I'll email you as soon as I get home. And I don鈥檛 feel a lesser person for doing it. Another one of your presumptions is that I have home help (pleeaasse stop calling them Maids and/or Srilankians) if you get to know me you'll be surprised at how hard I work and the number of things I balance in a day. And if I could have help I鈥檒l take it, I make no apologies for that, it is honest work and I don鈥檛 think it is demeaning for anyone to do it or for anyone to take it. I鈥檓 offering to talk to you in good faith and out of interest, I鈥檇 like to know you better, this is not about anyone helping anyone to join the human race. Believe it or not, I respect your opinion what I usually attack here is your attitude not your beliefs. Oh and please don't use the "my friends agree with me 100%" argument, it a lame and desperate one because guess what? my friends agree with me 100% too. Virgin my boy ! Well in any society this will happen just like in california and in Brazil if all the women are having the plastic surgery soon other women who were against it feel pressured also I think every famous women from lebanon has had it so they look up to them as role models in brazil the most deaths are from home made plastic surgery.. it would be hard to blame a woman who is just blending with there society around them.. i mean if you go to L.A everyone is plastic... but look at this because california has all plastic women they are known for beautiful women and brazil also known for the most beautiful women I even hear some ppl lately say this about lebanese women so obviously men like the plastic surgery these women around the world are doing giving even more pressure edit: Im not saying I agree.... but if I were ugly I think I would have plastic surgery and I am a nice sweet person I am not shallow at all.. I do thank God I dont need it but I am just saying.... my husband has your viewpoint and he is lebanese I have also heard his friends complaining about the exact thing you are saying that there whole family is fake and blah blah... I am simply giving a reason why women in those sort of areas where plastic surgery is common might feel pressured to do it. one more thing I have never been to a club in my entire life and never plan on going either:) hey have you ever been to lebanon, the people there are sooo gorgeous...and only the stupid trashy singers are doing these plastic surgeries.......and these famous people are not like the symbol of lebanon they are just a little percent. i mean what you see on t.v. doesnt mean that all people are like that. also lebanon is far from being the top in plastic surgeries i've been to usa and you walk around the mall and you see so many fake plastic faces or boobs..so sick. the 2nd is somewhere in europe 3rd saudia arabia ..........so um yeah lebanese are beautiful no matter what because again in regular life you wont see that many fake people im from lebanon yaay=] |
