Is it possible for lebanese people to have blonde hair and blue eyes? |
Travel Info my granfather is lebanese, but he has blonde hair and blue eyes, im confused, are lebanese people considered white or what. i don't know my grandad to well and i only see him occasionally and i do not know too many lebanese, but they live in liberia alot where i am from. how common is it for lebanese to look so white like my grandad. is it common or very rare. Travel Tips Yes its possible,i come from a huge family and we are all white, with light skin coloured and some dark eyes and others coloured eyes! Others I think it is! Genes can suprise you... Cameron Diaz is half cuban & half spainish (I think the other half is spainish) She has blue eyes & blonde hair... So yeah.. i think so Yep, it's very common to have fair skin. Blonde hair and blue eyes are also common but to a less extent. yes, I know a Lebanese who has that.. middle easterns are classifieds as caucusian white by anthropologist.. Absolutely, it is possible. My best fried is Lebanese with light hair, fair skin and blue eyes. Her entire family is the typical genetic trait: dark hair, eyes and olive complexion. She is the 'odd ball' of the family. It lies in genetic traits. Dark skin, eyes, hair: this is the dominant genetic traits. For my friend, and your grandad, they have obviously picked up the recessive traits. It's not common - which is why it is recessive, and depending on all the traits combined - you can define it's rarity. For instance, my friend has baby blues and fair skin - but her hair is although light brown, not blonde. So about two out of three main traits are recessive - and that's fairly rare. For your grandad, to have three main recessive traits like that is definitely rare. Also, be sure to check your ancestry. Lebanon's location and it's history (French Colonization) may mean that your family does not have full Arabic descent. You probably have European genes somewhere along the line and most likely CLOSE to your grandfather's line (maybe HIS grandfather/grandmother ... what-have-you ... maybe two from both sides for him). Yes it is possible, especially village people. My father and all my uncles are fair and have either green or blue eyes. My father in law has also blue eyes and blonde hair, so do my Lebanese friend and her kids. My husband and daughter have green eyes. About 95% of Lebanese are Arabs; Armenians are the principal minority. Arabic is the official language; French, English, and Armenian are also spoken. About 70% of the population is Muslim and about 30% is Christian, and each is divided into a number of sects, including the Druze. Political life is profoundly affected by the country's religious diversity. Political groups that are mainly Christian, especially of the Maronite sect, generally favor an independent course for Lebanon, stressing its ties with Europe. The Muslims, however, favor closer ties with the surrounding Arab countries. The short version of above is, yes, they can very well be light skinned, but the blonde hair and blue eyes suggest some Scandinavian influence in the genes. |
