Why are they...? |
Travel Info Why is Iran meddling in Lebanon, Palestine, Iraq ? Why are we patient with them Iranians and not show them who their true daddy is? Remember when Libya and Kadaffi were all over the news, it took one fighter jet to shut them up, and now they are like puppies, at least on their way to civilsation. Travel Tips hi Source(s): N Other Travel Tips i dont no milo.....sweetie........that you dont hear talk about Ghadaffi in international news, doesnt mean that libyan citizens arent suffering him. They have to live with him....and his family that is over all the important charges in Libya. They havent freedom, and cant talk against him. What did the "international help" for them??' Civilans dont think as their "chief" does, but none helps them now. So........dont talk as much free as you do about something that is happening in a country as Libya. Libyans are not happy with Ghadaffi........but the "outside help" washed their hands after they got what they wanted. Now....none care about libyan pple,. The difference is that Iran is smarter than Libya. Iran not only has one of the biggest oil resources in the world, but it can affect navigation in the Hurmuz Strait at the south of the Persian Gulf. The Strait is a narrow opening for shipping most oil from Gulf countries to the rest of the world. Any threat to the safety of this Strait will destroy so many economies of the world as fuel prices will rocket to unreachable skies. With Iran controlling half of the Gulf's coasts too, it can jeopardize all shipping movement at the Gulf, especially that the US would most probably use its bases and carriers in the Gulf to attack Iran. Further, Iran has better economic relations with neighbouring countries than Libya had with its neighbours, with limited mutual political respect too. Iran has a more powerful armed forces than all these countries. These countries would not jeopardize their coexistence with Iran for another American adventure in the region. After all, what did they gain internally from America's wars in Afghanistan and Iraq?!! Iran's interests in Lebanon, Palestine and Iraq are more genuine and relative than a country as far as the US. Lebanon and Iraq have a significant Shiite majority that had been politically undermined. Iran is the only Shiite country in the world and it hopes that Shiites are given their due position in their countries. Iran's stand on Palestine is supported by many Arabs and Muslims who see Israel as the unlawful child of the US in the region. Arab countries had the same stand in the past, but they became softer after Arab solidarity was shattered by Saddam's invasion of Kuwait in 1990. Palestine is of an importance to all Muslims for obvious reasons and Iran should not be an exception because of its animosity with the US. The question is what is the interest of the US in Lebanon, Palestine and Iraq?!! The answer is two words: Israel and Oil. Its intervention in Lebanon and Palestine is to help Isreal to have more peaceful neighbours. In Iraq, it was trying to establish a friendly government to stabilize oil resources, but got stuck in a deep swamp. Now, if you ask Arabs and Muslims, they will all agree that Iran's meddling is more legitimate than the US. I might not agree with some policies here and there from both countries, but that does not mean that I should lean towards the US just because it claims to be more democratic than Iran. The US is a democracy of the wealthy: the one who gathers more at his/her campaign. In Iran, it is the democracy of religion: the one who can gather more support from the spiritual leader and other religious institutions. My recommendation, my friend, is not to be as arrogant as Americans are perceived by many peoples of the world. Think wider than what you are told, and learn more about the rest of the world. Peace.... Hello, are you from Sri Lanka? bcuz you don't have anymore troops, everyone is in Iraq dying...you will have 1 million new recruits that will turn 18 this year, maybe if Bush stays another term he will send them...but since you'll be getting a new president, I dunno what her plans will be |
