Where is the best place for students to stay in leeds? |
Travel Info Where is the best place for students to stay in leeds? Travel Tips most students tend to stay in Headingley or Hyde Park areas but kirkstall and bramley are becoming popular Others Nearly all students stay in Hyde Park or Headingley - great nightlife, loads of rental accommodation and all-night buses. Near both unis too. You could also try Woodhouse, Little Woodhouse, Burley or Kirkstall - also near the universities but often cheaper rents. Check out http://www.unipol.leeds.ac.uk None - commute from Manchester. Hi kerfuffle This really does depend on what you are looking for. Can I suggest that you contact your university accomodation department and they will let you know what is available.. Student accomodation in Leeds has changed big style in recent years. Previously most students lived in the Headingly area of the city and this became (and still is to a certain extent) a student ghetto. Many new student residences have been built all around the centre of Leeds. If you want a "traditional" student life style then go for the usual student areas of Headingley, Woodhouse, Burley and Kirkstall. If you want something a little more in tune with "living in the city" then look at some of the newer residences - perhaps near the Corn Exchange, the new BBC Building or around Millenium Square. If there are particular places you are looking at but not sure what the areas are like then add some detail to your question and will do our best to answer you AJ I work at one of the two Leeds Universities |
