I want to go on holiday in the UK, what documents should I have? |
Travel Info I'm going on holiday to the UK in December, what should I do? What documents do I need from my home country? Do I have to have a certain amount of money in the bank? I'm from South Africa Travel Tips I think you can stay for a short term regardless of how much money you have....obviously you will need to take your passaport with you and ask for a Visa... Others A return ticket, as long as you can prove that you are only here for a holiday then they should have no problems letting you in. Your travel agent should provide you with all the details you need. If not the British consul in SA will answer your questions! ur telephn bill cash, passport, return ticket if u r staying over three months a visa but other then that have fun Welcome to our climate bring a fur coat & plenty of jumpers as it`s too expensive to run the gas fires these days now then.Passport,visa,injections,... to stay, telephone number of home in S.A.enough money to take care of yourself at 拢30 per day, allowing for bits & pieces, guess you won`t be in London too dear.Have a nice break Oh no drugs & no fire arms OK? You do not need a visa, provided that you can show that: - you want to visit the UK for no more than six months - you intend to leave the UK at the end of your visit, and - you have enough money to support yourself and live in the UK without working or needing any help from public funds. A return ticket is the easiest way of demonstrating the first and second points. For the financial part, you could use bank statements, payslips, travellers cheques, or some such evidence that you can support yourself during your visit. |
