I have just recently moved to Widnes near Liverpool and I am constantly hearing air raid sirens (it may not be them but thats the best descirption I have) Where are they coming from and why am I hearing them???

It not air raid syrens, the chemical works have them, it could be Ineos, they used to go off at knocking off times, now its usually fridays. They also go off for chemical escapes, and you are supposed to stay indoors, until you hear the syren again which gives you the ok, clear. This is not a joke, every one has been issued with a laminated security card, with what syrens mean and waht u should do. (seriously) |
