I want to see a musical in London, can anyone recommend something? |
Travel Info I wanted to see Dirty Dancing but I can't get tickets from anywhere. I've seen Phantom, Les Mis, Chicago and Whistle Down The Wind. I'd like to seem something up beat and fun. Thanks! Travel Tips I love the theatre and when in London I go to the half price ticket booth in Leicester Square. You can get top tickets for a selection of shows for half price. They do not do any of the Lloyd webbers but I have seen We will Rock You and Billy Elliott on the board so they have these. You will have more choice if you go midweek - or why not go on a Saturday and see 2 shows - a matinee and evening. Make sure you use the official half price booth - there are some rip off merchants around there. Go with luck, be surprised when you get there. Enjoy. Others If your a fan of the wizard of oz then Wicked is one to see Highly recommended and the Victoria Apollo is great Mary Poppins is excellent to but recommend Wicked further for originality in that the book on which it is based is not well known and Mary Poppins is already known to us by way of the movie. Spamalot, or Chicago. Definitely Wicked if your looking for something fun. Its the story of the wizard of oz but from the point of view of the 'wicked' (or not so wicked) witch of the west. I was lucky enough to see it when i was in new york and it was brilliant so much so that when it comes to Australia later this year i will see it again. Billy Elliot is good also the Lion King bith are fun and up beat! i went to see we will rock you, it was fab and apparently my daughter said theres one called wicked that is excellent too, must be for a 16 year to like it.x Stomp is great, very up beat. Always get tickets from the web though, pay less than half price on some seats. |
