Will I regret not using my Visa or will i be disappointed? |
Travel Info I recently returned from the Uk to find that home is no where near as exciting as i thought, i loved my time in the uk however the people and job will not be the same if i go back as they have all left, i cant seem to get the visa out of my head and settle back at home coz i kepe thiking i may want to go back and use it, do you think i will be disappointed if i go back a second time, i have 9 months left to use and was only there for 3 months......? Travel Tips What you are experiencing is normal. I've gone through the same thing in the past. I never went back, but I agree that it would not be the same because you would not be surrounded by the same people. In fact, it might be worse because you are expecting something so great and it will probably not happen if you go back. It will be tough, but readjust to being home. You will get used to being back home again and you won't miss the UK as much, but it will still be a sweet memory. Others Well, the way I see it is that you can stay home and regret not using your Visa (and be disappointed) killing your soul with "what ifs" or you can use the Visa and either be elated or disappointed with what happens. You didn't really say what sort of financial position you were in to use your Visa and I would say that makes a difference but since you didn't mention it, it most likely isn't an issue. I always say go for it. If it doesn't work out what's the most that you have lost - time? You have a job there or not? What would you do if you went back? Do you have to work or do you have freedom to go back and just enjoy it for awhile? Only you can really answer the question. But just know that it is expected to be a big adjustment and take some time when you make drastic life changes. Going back...do you expect to go back to exactly the way things were...cause that might not be possible...or do you want different experiences back in the same place? |
