Need help finding my way through London please? |
Travel Info I have a job interview at the Cavalry Club, Picadilly (near the 'Hard Rock' cafe if this helps). I will arrive in London at Waterloo train station. Is this distance walkable (An hour/ hour and a half max for me) and is it relatively easy to get to? Green Park is the nearest tube station but I'd prefer to walk if it's feasible as I don't get to go to London often. If the weather is poor and I jump in a taxi, very roughly how much will the journey cost? Thanks! Travel Tips If you wanted to walk it would take you about 45 minutes. Walk from Waterloo Station over the Thames River by Hungerford Bridge to Charing Cross then walk up to Leicester Square and Picadilly is about 200 metres from Leicester Square. If you need to get a taxi always agree on a price first. I think it should be about ten pounds. Others You could always catch a C1 bus at Waterloo that will take you to Hyde Park Corner and walk from there! It's better C1 bus at Waterloo, > Hyde Park Corner and walk from there 1.8 miles, should take about 35 minutes http://www.walkit.com/mywalk.php?header1... Taxi will be about 拢10 inc tip. Underground will take 5 minutes and is 拢4 unless you get an Oyster, then it will be $1.50 |
