about 200 miles north mate
London? Central is OK, but the rest of it is a city of the dead. Archway, Islington in general, Balham, Clapham, Acton, Carshalton, Hammersmith, Shepherds Bush . . all dead as the proverbial dodo after the little commuters have scuttled home and locked the door. IOlford, Romford, Upminster, Grays - Chav City par excellence

Hertfordshire - Barnet, Potters Bar etc is not too bad. Finchley, Golders Green and Hendon have some points going for them, but if you are a young person coming to London, beware - most of it swings like a stalled pendulum.

I lived in that dump for 8 years, and worked and commuted there for 20 years, and I am heartily glad I will never have to go there again.
