To the below answerer - OF COURSE THEY WERE NICE TO YOU - YOU ARE ENGLISH AND FUNDING THEIR ECONOMY AND HEALTH SERVICE FROM YOUR TAX - That's why theirs prescriptions etc are FREE - YOU ARE PAYING FOR IT Others During the reign of King Edward the first, the Scots suffered all manner of atrocities at the hands of the english. We burned their homes, raped their women, ruined their crops, it was a sad and savage time. You would think that the scots would be horrid to the english wouldn't you? Well I am english and I went to Glasgow last week to see a friend and I was treated like royalty. The people are so kind and courteous. The streets are spotless and the buildings are beautiful. I have never been made to feel so welcome away from home. So if we are funding them in any way, think of it as compensation for the hatred we held against them for so long. I love Scotland and I can't wait till i return there in October. SCOTLAND FOREVER!!! If that's the case then why are we invaded by English and foreign students for FREE university education places?? and we dont want to be part of England, give us our own Parliament today. Someone says we get free prescriptions? NO we dont its the same as what you pay. I'm english and I live in Scotland. Why, cos of ignorant people who are racist a**holes. And we don't get free prescriptions in Scotland, they do however in Wales so have a go at them. And be prepared for a backlash Scotland couldn't survive without the handouts from England. It was recently found to be the worst performing small country in Western Europe. It's the 17th worst developed country. Scotland have all the benefits of controlling government, Free education to universities (not given to anyone else), higher rate of benefits than anyone else, higher rate of pay for government employees (including nurses and doctors), etc. If England got rid of the burden of Scotland then tax rates would fall and public spending would increase. And it was a Scottish king that joined the two countries not an English one, both countries had separate government until a Scottish uprising caused the closer of the scottish government. Most of the worst crimes committed against Scottish people were committed by Scottish people, the highland clearings. Och No! Despite hating us they'll happily live off our coat tails forever. The McSpongers them... have you forgotten that SNP won the vote in Scotland Believe me Scotland feels as strongly about England and wants to cut away from the robbing royal family and Co as well as it's greedy parliments |
