Nice hotel in London centre? |
Travel Info not to expensive DON'T TELL ME TOO SEARCH OR ONLINE cause I can do that, I was wondering if someone really knows a good hotel Travel Tips Ok, I won't tell you to search online, but without knowing how much money you've got, it is a bit impossible - but I recommend the Holiday Inn : http://www.hotel.de/search.aspx?hs_hotel... Look up the one in Kensington or Earl's Court. Also see: http://www.hotel.de/search.aspx?hs_landi... Others hi there There are hundreds of nice hotels in central London, and there are also hundreds of very bad hotels. The best value for money hotel is the Holiday Inn on the south bank of the Thames. It occupies part of the old County Hall, right on the river, and just across from Westminster Abbey etc. No other hotel in central London can compete for price or location. But if you are very rich, you should also consider The Inn On The Park, in Mayfair. Very very expensive, but very very nice! Travelodges are quite reasonable. Some are expensive and some have special offers http://www.travelodge.co.uk/find_a_hotel... Travelodge There's a nice Express by Holiday Inn about 10 minutes walk from Victoria Station. It's in an old terrace (row) house of white stone, and very attractive. Rooms and bathrooms are modern and comfortable, and breakfast is included in all room rates. MANY LONDON HOTELS no longer include breakfast! Also, many do not include the 17.5 % Value Added Tax (VAT) in their posted rates. That's because many of the prices are over the moon! This particular Holiday Inn is very comfortable, but the rooms are tiny and not air conditioned. Any hotel in a building built before 1960 is likely to have very tiny rooms, and not just in London either! Many London hotels below the deluxe category are also not a/c. If you have more money to spend, the Marriott Hotel at Maida Vale is gorgeous, bigger a/c rooms, a beautiful location, authentic local pub across the street, health club and pool/sauna available, and has direct bus services to Victoria and to Oxford Street (major shopping area). More thoughts would be easier to give if you gave some indication of what you have to spend. |
