Will the British tourism industry suffer like it did a few years, owing to the inclement weather? |
Travel Info we were going to Tenby this week, but it was fully booked, thank God. We are now going middle of July, I fear the worst. Travel Tips Well we were also trying to book in Tenby and the Cotswolds, Bourton on the Water, magic place, apart from Americans and Japanese during the day, we always go there for Xmas as well. Lovely Xmas day service devoted to the children. However, sorry about that, get carried away, both places where fully booked till the kids go back to school. So we now have early Sept. in Tenby and the last half in Bourton. The weather may have picked by then. Now we know why we are so preoccupied with our weather. I don't think one bad year will effect the industry too much as it is booming at the moment. If these summers continue I still couldn't face those dreary flights to warmer climes, and lets face it most are dumps its just sunny. A nice day in Britain is unbeatable anywhere on the globe. Others As a saundersfoot holiday person i can assure you its sub tropical here at the moment .In Tenby we are frying eggs on the pavement if you can find a uncracked pathing stone .The banana and coconut trees that Tenby is rightfully famous for are full of monkeys chattering away .So get yourself over here now you know it makes sense . Most probably. I work hard all year for my two week holiday and I want sun, sun and more sun when I finally collapse on a sun lounger, by a pool, with drink in hand.!! Also, when you holiday abroad, everything is so much cheaper, such as eating out and value for money on meals. Local travel, bus or taxi, is always cheaper abroad. |
