Travel by taxi in London?

How much would it cost to travel to International Hall (near to Russel square) from Paddington station by taxi?

After I arrive in London, im thinking of taking the heathrow express to paddington station and then get a taxi all the way to my dorm. What do u think about my plan? plus i would probably be carrying 30+ kg luggage, please leave comments if u could think of any better way.

That is probably a good way with all that luggage if money is not problem.
Otherwise, take the Piccadilly underground line directly to Russell Square. There are lifts at Russell Square, so you will only have a few stairs to go up.
