Appropriate clothing in London in September? |
Travel Info The climate in London in Sept is generally in the 15C - 20C. What is the appropriate wear for this climate? I live in a tropical country and have no idea what to expect. Travel Tips English weather is largely unpredictable and changes quite quickly. I would recommend layers, that is a tshirt, a light jacket and light coat. Some days will be warm enought for just the tshirt and coat but some will be chilly. I would recommend taking a scarf because you can wear it on colder days then put it in your bag if the sun decides to come out. September is often very wet so a rain coat is a must, preferably thin so you wont get too hot. An umbrella would be advisable. You will probably doing a lot of walking so comfortable shoes are important like trainers or flat shoes. For trousers just something like a pair of jeans or combats would be good, but not three-quatre length or shorts. You will find in September people in London wear a large variety of things, from tshirt and jeans to full on winter coat, as the weather is in a sort of 'transition' stage between summer and autumn. Others You will find London cold in September. Bring layers thoug - the weather can change from miserably wet to sunny (more on the wet side) and when its wet its horrible. |
