How long does it take to get into Wembley Stadium? Best time to arrive for a 4.30 start? |
Travel Info I'm going to a concert on sunday (Metallica) and the doors open at 2.30 with the first supporting act on a 4.30... what would be the best time to arrive? With such huge numbers of people at Wembley it will take a while to queue and get in surely? Obviously I dont want to wait for hours for the concert to start but then I dont want to wait ages queueing and miss the first band... any thoughts? Travel Tips At the Concert for Diana last Sunday, getting in was dead easy. There was a bag check before reaching the turnstiles, but that was no more than a minute. No queues at the turnstiles, so straight in. We were in no hurry, so took it slowly, but could easily have made it from Wembley Park station to our seats in 20 mins. If you want to take your own drinks, about the only acceptable option appears to be to take in cartons (not much use if you want to take beer, though!). Others I went and saw Muse a few weeks ago and had no trouble getting into the arena. It took 5 minutes. I arrived at 4.30 for the supporting acts, but Muse didn't come on until 9pm! A lot of waiting around which was tedious. It depends if you want to see the supporting acts or not. I'd suggest about 7pm would be a good time. The whole arrival thing is very well organised so you won't have any trouble. Have a wicked time. I'm saying about half an hour before the main act, which would probably be around 7pm. But it all depends who are the supporting acts and whether or not you want to see them. My partner is a supervisor at the new wembley so I quizzed him about this, doors will be open by 3.30pm. Apparently you can't take any bags, brolly's, bottles etc in with you, due to safety/ground regulations!! Enjoy the concert. Unless you wanna be at front by stage,dont think it will take you that long to get in the place... i went to the concert for diana on sunday 1st it started at 4 but coz of extra security they check everything now i advise get there bout 3.30, but it depends where ur sitting if ur in the top tier then u have a long walk if ur in the lower tiers where i was then it ok not much walk or if ur on the pitch seats then u will be fine by the way the atmosphere is fantastic. beware when leaving to go home tubes will be packed i had to wait for the 6th tube to get back to waterloo have fun xxx |
