Travel Info Am planning to visit london for 1 week in aug end. my questions 1) best places to see there 2)clothing type? Travel Tips Pack for rainy weather, but do take some T-shirts or warm weather clothing too. If you are the shorts or skirts kind of person take some, London does get hot at times. A waterproof jacket and a sweater will be enough even in the cooler days. What to do is less obvious. There are more museums than about any other town in the world, shops, markets, famous sights, nice streets that others have overlooked, pubs, shows and all kind of evening and night entertaining. So search for London and your favorite kind of entertainment. http://www.visitlondon.com/ might be a nice starting point. For the famous sights, take a guided tour, the hop-on hop-off buses are great for this. Houses of Parliament with the Big-Ben (the big clock) Tower of London, Tower Bridge, one of the shopping streets, one of the palaces and one of the squares should do you for a day, or even two if you have the time. Others I know the best place.... The Big Clock..... (I forget the name....) ;p the big block is called the big ben. that is a must, as well as the parliament, the buckingham palace, the river thames, tower bridge, london eye, hampton court etc. i also like richmond and kingston a lot see some pics at http://www.travellingbazaar.com/travel%2... end aug is quite warm, about 20 to 25 degrees, can get hotter too so check out the weather before you leave to pack correctly. i think some t shorts and jeans, skirt and a light pulli for those windy days and night will do. but no worries if you have not packed right, hit oxford street or kensignton high street for anything you may need! |
