Travel Info I'm going to L.A. next weekend and I'm staying in Manhattan Beach. Will the traffic be bad to go to LA? Travel Tips It used to be weekends were traffic light. But these days, all bets are off. Check the radio news stations on online at sigalert.com or the caltrans site http://www.dot.ca.gov/travel/dist_07/... Others The traffic is always heavy to go to LA, however it will not be as bad on the weekend since most of the commuters are home and not co muting to work. I would avoid driving on Friday and Monday afternoon if possible. Saturday and Sunday should be fine (assuming you're talking about Memorial Day weekend - otherwise avoid Sunday afternoon driving. As long as there aren't any accidents than the traffic moves ok. Just be prepared for the unique LA driving method of going 80 than slamming on your breaks, drive about 10 miles per hour for 5 minutes than back to 80 again. On the weekends is not so bad.Are you planning on going to the parks or something...LA county is huge. Should be OK for you ...you will most likely be going against traffic for most of the time.... Traffic is always bad when heading to LA. Traffic isn't too bad in Manhattan Beach. |
