Phantom Planet's "California" mentioned the 101.
Others
"I'm rollin' down Rodeo with a shotgun/ These people ain't seen a black-skinned man since their grandparents bought one..." - Rage Against the Machine (stupid bullsh*t loser band).
Remember the cult one from college "Pico and Sepulveda, Pico and Sepulvedaaaaaaaaaaaa! LaaaaaaaaBreaAAAA!, LAAAAA BREAAAAAAAAAA TAR PITs"
Years ago there was a movement to have the Pico and Sepulveda song made into the city offical song but Mayor Tom Bradley thought it was too silly for a city of this size and prestige. LOL
College Memories.
Ah, now I know what made you think of Dr. Demento, copes.
I remember "Pico and Sepulveda" too. I was channel surfing a while back and came across a movie that used that song. I think it starred Oingo Boingo, who, as you recall, were originally named the Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo. It's founder was what's-his-name who does the theme song for the Simpson's and the Tim Burton movies.

And Paris, those are all the songs I can think too. Was any street mentioned in "The Little Old Lady From Pasadena?" Or any Beach Boys songs?

Oh, how about "Dead Man's Curve?" Something about Doheny.

What about that theme song from "77 Sunset Strip?" There are no lyrics, though. Does that count?

Just thought of another one. "California" by Joni Mitchell. She says, "I'll even kiss a Sunset Pig." Which I've done, by the way.

Thought of another one: just heard "X" on NPR. They mentions Hollywood Blvd in a song which I think is called "Los Angeles". Also the International Date Line.

Thought of some more. How about the Doors "L.A. Woman" Does that mention a street?

Or that Mama's and Papa's song, I think it's called "Twelve-Thirty" mentions the canyon, i.e. Laurel Canyon.

There's a song I've heard, but I don't know the name or artist that says, "I'm going to Disneyland." Am I stretching it a bit?

Poor Paris. She has too much time on her hands.
Santa Monica Boulevard is mentioned in two songs that come to mind: "All I Wanna Do" by Sheryl Crow, and "Hash Pipe" by Weezer.

Tom Petty's "Free Fallin'" mentions Ventura Boulevard and Mulholland Drive.

Randy Newman's "I Love LA" mentions Imperial Highway, among others.

"Little Old Lady from Pasadena" by Jan and Dean mentions Colorado Boulevard.

I am sure that Sunset Boulevard has to be mentioned in several songs, though none come to mind at the moment.

I'll let you know if any others come to mind.
That ever popular tourist mecca of "6th Street" is mentioned on "I love L.A.", by Randy Newman.

This one may be "stretching" the rules a bit, but the early 1950's Cody Commander song "Hot Rod Lincoln" mentions "We were driving up Grapevine Hill". (US-99) It was a semi-popular song when I was in high school, well before your time.

PS: Paris, please consider adding the new drive-in theater at the Orange County fair grounds in Costa Mesa to your "attractions" list. It's a nostalgic throwback to the 50's & 60's. (Trivia: Costa Mesa was origionally named "Fairview".)
