405 between 101 and 10

I am lucky to have a 2 mile commute on surface streets now but used to do Northridge to West Hollywood every day. Yikes!!!

The worst freeway is the one that you think is the worst. It is a matter of your opinion. Some people might not be disturbed by a delay, while others are extremely frustrated. It is a state of mind, not a state of being.

If I were to carpool, I would if I knew the people in the car. This is a touchy subject since some people like to be quiet while commuting, some like music and some like to talk to each other. That match is an ideal one, but hard to accomplish; though not impossible. Interviewing a fellow to carpool is imperative so that everyone gets along during the ride. Each knows it is saving fuel, wear and tear on the vehicles involved, so diplomacy should be exercised.

I would suggest that all involved in a carpool get together and interview each other so that nothing during the drive will be offensive to any other. Personally, I do not listen to the radio, do not use air conditioning and like to use that ride time to think about things. Some others would rather blast the radio, smoke and put the A/C on maximum. You just have to know who you are riding with and be able to at the very least tolerate the situation during the ride.
I used to have a two mile commute. Now I have a 25 mile commute...what was I thinking??

Anyway, I have to take the 10 east, through downtown, up to the 405 north. No fun!
I have two:
The 405 between the 101 and the 10 (Sepulveda Pass), and the "Corona Crawl", the 91 between the 55 and the 215.

Know why they call it the 405? You go 4 o' 5 miles per hour, and it takes 4 o' 5 hourst to get where you are going.

I'm lucky too! I work about a mile from the house! Sometimes I drive, but sometimes I ride my bike or even walk!
101 to the 405 wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew.
I have a 7 mile commute on surface streets and it takes 20 minutes.
