They have a website too: www.emmis.com Lavadog, on August 17, 2006, KZLA's format was changed to adult contemporary music from country. Jimmy Steal, Emmis' vice president of programming, cited declining ratings of the country format as well as an opportunity to increase overall station and corporate revenue. The FM station became KMVN on September 1, 2006. Rick Dees came out of (forced) retirement, and became the morning show DJ. Emmis Communications also owns KPWR-FM (Power 106), and has 14% market share between the two stations. Who ever it is say, Adios to Country. |
