Anything to do on a Tuesday in Long Beach California? |
Travel Info I will be in Long Beach this tuesday, and have seen the pike, and the shopping area across from convention center many times. done Queen Mary. Staying at a hotel next to Convention Center, willnot have a car with me. Anyone know of anything to see or do in the evening/night? Open for any ideas or suggestions.. Travel Tips I work in LB. You visited some cool places already. Now, go to Belmont Shores on 2nd street near Ocean Blvd. It is a tourist attraction with shops, stores, restaraunts and bars. There is "Lucillle's BBQ" and "La Creperie Cafe". Go back to the pike, and keep on walking north to Shoreline Village in Long Beach Harbor. There are restaraunts and gift shops. Try "Tequilla Jacks", "Parker's Lighthouse", "Stefano's Pizza", "Springbook Bar & Grill", "The Funnel House" and "Tugboat Pete's". For public transportation, you can use the Long Beach Transit or the Metro Rail Blue line. Fare is $1.25 or $3 for a day pass. The Passport shuttle is free. You will do all right w/o a car for a day in Long Beach. Have fun! Source(s): www.longbeach.org Other Travel Tips Go to the beach and chill! Go to Boogie Woogie's for the best bbq you have ever had. Aquarium of the Pacific. There"s a micro Brewery near the Aquarium. ***The Mai Tai Bar is downtown across from the aquarium. They have a late night happy hour (7-11pm) and a live band every night. The drinks and the view are great! For Dinner, Tequilla Jacks in Shoreline Village has Tuesday dollar tacos and drink happy hours. Good dinner place. Of Course Yard House is next store, also a great choice, but you cant beat the dollar tacos. And Belmont Shore is a good area also to check out, if you are into bars, Rileys and Belmont Station are good choices. Belmont Brewing company is on the beach, they have good food and good beer. And there is this little resturant right on the beach next to the Brewing Company called La Palapa that is really good as well. You can take the Passport (red bus) all around the city, from the convention center to Belmont Shore for like a $1.50. Long Beach Resident |
