going there in july was it good choice for famiy with 17&18 year olds. What is there to do there? Is the beach nice?

My wife & I lived there for several years in the early 80's and loved it. Great area, lots of great local places to eat...great beaches...not to far to any of the big tourist trap places (Disneyworld, Knott's Berry Farm, Queen Mary, Universal, etc.)

I'm sure there's been a lot of changes since we left there, but you still picked a great place to visit.
