Traveling to LA, what are prices like?

Travel Info
For all you LA residents, i'm booking a trip to LA for me and my fiancee, but i have no idea what to budget for food for 4 days and for shuttle/bus/taxi to dodger Stadium (~4miles away) and disneyland (~28miles away).
any help is appreciated!

Travel Tips
First of all, you need to rent a car. LA is huge. Plus, the public transportation sucks & traffic is the worst in the country. Try to avoid rush hour when you need to go to Disneyland, because if you go during rush hour that 28-mile trip could easily turn into a 2-hour trip.

An economy car is $31 per day if you pick it up at LAX (per travelocity.com). No need to rent the car for the entire 4 days, but at least rent one for the day you're going to Disneyland.

As far as food it depends where you're going. Breakfast/lunch/dinner you could easily spend $100 per day (minimum) for 2. Not sure how far China town is from your hotel but it sounds close if you're staying in DOWNTOWN area... if you like Chinese food you could save some money by eating there most of the time... for instance DimSum for breakfast is delish & cheap. They also have lots of authentic Mexican restaurants in LA & the pricing are reasonable. If you want to save $$ on food, stick with Chinese and Mexican! =) Try El Cholo on Western Avenue.
Oh, also if you like Japanese (shabu-shabu) you have to go to Shabu Shabu House Restaurant in Little Tokyo... it's very reasonable & the best shabu I've ever had in LA.

Additional...

Almost forgot, food at Disneyland is expensive. You could pack your own snacks & drinks. Source(s): Experience

just bring lots of money, its expensive...
it depends on where you go. If its not a real "trendy" place. You can expect meals to be between 12 to 25 dollars. Souvineers are expensive.<<in most areas.

Disneyland will definitely break the bank. Try to pack a snack and bring along...

You can get by on eating cheaply in LA, just go to the numerous mom and pop burger joints around town and not to the Ivy or Nobu.
Disneyland prices are normal for a theme park. You can eat inexpensively at Bengal Barbecue or spend more at the Blue Bayou. There's even a stand near the front of the park that sells corn dogs. Don't forget to get a pineapple whip at the Tiki Juice Bar. The website below lists all the restaurants, price range and what type of food.
Before you enter Disney, La Brea Bakery is a good place to get some food. Just be sure to go to the 'to go' side, the sit down part of place is more expensive.
Season Pass holder for Disneyland.
