Anybody know the city Big Bear, CA?

We've rented a vacation home there for a few days, and the location is the following: in Big Bear City, with a view of the east end of Big Bear Lake, and Gold Mountain to the north. Anybody know if this is an ok place? Never been there, so I wouldn't know. Thanks.

East end of the lake is farther from The Village, but it should be pretty good nonetheless.

Tip for parking in The Village: park at Chamber of Commerce - next cross street after Pine Knot if you are headed west. Their lot almost always has open spaces and is free, too!

yes, big bear lake was a nice place to go visted and now only if you like sking because the lake is all surrounded by houses and thing there no place to get it so at one it was nice all year around and now it bad.
Big Bear is great! You can go to all the little shops and cafes they have, meet the locals because they are friendly. Find a nice fishing hole, water activities too.

Also if you travel all around the lake, there are some nice campgrounds with picnic tables for the day.

If there was snow, you could always of course go skiing,snowboarding or tubing. There is even a movie theatre, ice skating rink and lots more shopping.
Big bear is my favorite place for outdoors. Summer time fishing and camping. Winter time its very cold and a lot of snow, its beautiful. there are a lot of activities for four seasons. Once there just get a catalog of the area you will love it.

Big Bear lake has good trout in the summer. Enjoy it.
I live in Big Bear City. East end. Love it have been here for 19 years. you can go to Big Bear Vacation rentals.com or go to cool cabins.com and you can see pictures of rentals. Most people lake rental by the village but, it gets crowded and everything here is only 10 to 12 min. away
Emo, yes everyone in L.A. is familiar with Big Bear. You will like it...Did you ever get to go to the casino to play the slot machines ????
hey big bear is a really nice place to visit.lol im not sure about all the racist white folks up there but not all of them are but its a really beautiful place to visit and there is a resturaunt that over looks most of san bernardino that is really a site to see.. it seems like they are in there own world and it feels perfectly safe there unless ur black lol.. but just going there u might even want to move there
