Others Right at the equinox (sept 21), the sun sets around 7PM because it's still daylight savings. By October 1, the sun sets at 6:38 PM. October 6- 6:31 October 13- 6:22 October 20- 6:14 October 27- 6:06 If you are going to be married around Santa Barbara, add about 6 minutes. !!! If you live in NC, why are you posting this in the LA forum? I gave you times for LA! UPDATE: For your location, 6:59 pm Oct 1 to 6:20 pm on the 31st. For your EXACT time, go to the site referenced below and input the date of your wedding. It totally depends on where you are...both how far north or south, or how far east or west. For example, in Tallahassee, FL sunset will occur from 6:22 pm on Oct 1 to 5:50 pm on the 31st. But if you were in Boston, still the Eastern time zone, it would range from 5:25 pm on the 1st to 4:39 pm on the 31st. Now if you were further west, say in Phoenix, it will set at 6:13 pm on the 1st, and at 5:37 pm on the 31st.
