Is Inglewood a bad neighborhood? |
Travel Info I'm visiting LA for the first time for my birthday trip. My Dad, being the cheap person he is (always looking for a deal), booked a hotel in Inglewood, CA. Is this a bad neighborhood like Compton? I have never been to LA so I do not know the areas to "stay away from". Travel Tips alright i live in La and i have been to Inglewood a few times. it can be a dangerous neighborhood. it is not as bad as compton but there have been some really bad things happen there. it is rather loud at night time. i wouldnt suggest you stay there. but if you do make sure you are very careful. i hate to have to say it because i love living in LA but you should stay away from Compton, Inglewood, and Watts. one thing you should know is that many mexicans (myself not included) and african americans do not get along in those areas so be very careful you dont say something to offend a member of another race. oh yea and dont wear blue or red and tell you family not to wear blue or red. but blue jeans are fine. aslong as you keep to urself youll be fine. and try to enjoy all the good things about LA dont worry about it to much Source(s): if you want to know more about the area you can send me an email Other Travel Tips It can be a rough neighboorhood. relax....its not as bad as the movies make it, im not saying that its a great neighborhood or anything but as long as you dont go looking for trouble you should be fine...yes, its true though there are alot of gangmembers that live there but as long you arent a trouble maker then youre gonna be just fine, just try not to wear a blue or red shirt, just to be on the safe side. It is bad like Compton. Do big city safety but even more so in Inglewood. The gang are what is killing Compton and Inglewood. Watch out for them especially. Yes, its bad. also it depends which hotel and where in Inglewood it is located. Just don't go out walking at night. Nothing wrong with saving a buck, but there are some things that you just don't want to go cheap on. Inglewood isn't as bad as Compton, but it's certainly not Beverly Hills. For cheaper hotels, why not check out the Farmer's Daughter or Hollywood Celebrity Hotel in Hollywood, or the Howard Johnson or Super 8 in Anaheim? |
