Because of population density the housing cost can be rather high. Mass transit is improving. I liked Woodland Hills, Northridge, Encino, a little better than Vna Nuys, Winnetka and Reseda. Check out Agoura, and Clabasas. Others I live in West Hills, Ca. Which is the very west side part of Canoga Park. All the cities you mentioned are part of the San Fernando Valley. Calabasas, Woodland Hills, West Hills are the most West. Northridge is to the North, Winnetka is south of Northridge and East of Canoga Park. Then moving East, you get to Tarzana, Encino and Sherman Oaks. Housing: Less in Winnetka, parts of Canoga Park, Northridge. Need to watch for safety in certain areas as there is some gang activity. Calabasas, Woodland Hills, West Hills - Very safe, nice family areas. I am very partial to these, obviously, I live in this area and love it. Nice apts in Woodland Hills. Employment: Warner Center in Woodland Hills, Chatsworth, Calabasas - Countrywide, West - lots out toward Ventura County - lots east toward Los Angeles. Transportation - YOU NEED A CAR IN LOS ANGELES.
