Anyone travel to Catalina Island lately??

Travel Info
Can anyone tell me what it is like there after the fire? Does Avalon smell of smoke? What if anything has changed after the fire on Catalina?

Travel Tips
No, no smoke smell at all. Avalon is exactly the same..but if you go on one of the tours to the interior of the island, you will see lots of fire damage....mostly barren hillsides. Once the rainly season starts I expect lots of landslides...but until then...everything is pretty much the same.

I was there this weekend and there is no smell in Avalon. There are areas that have burned but that has not changed the pace of life on the Island. I love it there.
No, nobody goes to Catalina except poor old people who can't afford to go to Hawaii, and have to settle for Catalina.
