How much money should i save up to move to LA? |
Travel Info i'm moving to LA in a year. I'm going to be transferring to a different job and moving in with a roommate for about 700-800 a month. and i'll have a car. so how much would be a good amount as sort of a nest egg. Travel Tips as much as you can accumulate. suggest a minimum of $5,000.00. rent at $700 per month that is $8,400.00 per year. therefore, the need for a minimum of $5000.00 nest egg. auto insurance can be expensive. maintenance of your car will be essential. distances are great and you will need relaible transportation. the public transport system is improving but not that good. there is no way you can depend any anyone to provide transport for you. it will only be short term california can be a very lonely place, at least for young men. when i came to california, it was tough for me to meet young ladies. very tough. i don't know if you can imagine the kind of problem this can create for a healthy young person. you are fortunate that you will have a roommate. she can get you into her circle of friends. be certain you stay in close contact with mom and the family. a support system, emotional and financial is very important. my mom saved my skin numerous times. i also needed to have that lifeline. only family can really provide this kind of emotional lifeline. i call home everyday. california is also blessed with more psycho types than all the other states combined. so you will need to continually exclude the nut cases. only two weeks ago a nut met a college student over the internet and she has not been seen in 9 days. fortunately his identity is now known and he is being hunted down. about your job, be certain its iron clad. there are many people who came here, lured by some non-existent jobs. what i like about california is that its basically clean, not too much trash on the street, but there is lots of smog. thinking in california is also free of a lot of the normal regular dead historical stuff. i commute home regurlarly so i am bi-coastal, and have two homes. as a man i need my family. thats how i keep my sanity. good luck! Others I poo pooed? hahahahahahahahhahaha@the guy over me ur sayin u would be gettin a place in LA for $700 a month? is that place compton? or in watts in the jordan down projects? u should save about $5000 Depends on if you plan on having a job or not... Then it depends on what kind of money you will make and if you are going right into a job. It will be about $ 15,000.00 just for the psychology bills... You must be crazy wanting to move to LA.... i would say about...almost 15,000.because you PROBALY want to shop(who doesnt)and just have some left over to have fun and maybe go out, hope i helped im moving there soon none, just go work Hollywood Blvd. at night to make extra money once you move there. |
