I had been to malaysia 2 years back. Basically an Islamic Country where every religion enjoys equal stature.
it has lot of high rised sky scrappers. Dont miss petronas.
People are good. Their lifestyle is very simple and akin to indian culture.
Food is good in malaysia. You get variety of food. KFC, McDonalds are there. 100% Halal. You can hear azan anywhere you are. Direction of Qibla is marked in all hotel rooms and you can find prayer rooms at all important malls, themeparks.

Oh my God, Malaysia is the BOMB. I regularly go there because simply, it's the best place to be. The people in Malaysia are very nice, and it's a mixed culture, Malay, Indians & Chinese. The food there is good, depending on where you go. I personally did not like Malay food, but there are many restaurants to choose from.

My favorate place in Malaysia is the Island of Langkawi. Oh man, if you want to relax, that's the place to be. Clean beaches, not crowded and beautiful nature. You can take a ride in the cable car, go on a mangarove trip, go to the Langkawi aquarium. The best hotel is The andaman, talk about relaxing .... :)

Kuala Lumpur is also my favorite city. The shopping centers are amazing, if you like shopping. There are nice theme parks, mainly Sunway lagoon. The best place is Genting Highlands, a lot of shops and outdoor & indoor theme parks. The Petronas twin towers are so amazing. The weather is tropical, so make sure you take your shorts and t-shirts and also sandals & slippers.
Have been there more than 4 times.
To sum it all up...

A beautiful country governed by corrupted and racist politicians (some group claim that they are the best). Great food, great outdoor adventures and great people (unless you're being robbed and police blames it on 'foreigners' ---on the other hand, you DO NOT want to get harassed by government officials too)...

However, Malaysia is really nothing great to an outsider/foreigner... too many ugly stuff to read about the lousy antics of stupid racist politics and police brutality. Too many lies about peace and harmony... so much self denial. Last but not least... maker of the lousiest car in the world... backed by the government.

Malaysia truly Malaysian....

Malaysia Bull-eh... all talk and no work. Samy Vellu is their national hero... they've voted for him for so long and most of you know what I am talking about...
