Exotic food restaurants in Malaysia?

Travel Info
This is just question out of curiosity...

Anyone heard of it? Where do Malaysians/tourists find their way to these restaurants? I have read them over the press and watched the news on seizures of 'exotic' (wild/endangered) animals heading for the cooking pot.

Among them are turtles/tortoises, snakes, mamals (like pangolins and tigers), some kinds of birds, primates (including orang utans) and BEARS :-(

Travel Tips
according to what i read in the star newspaper, the restaurants are in malacca.

personal experience: the big seafood restaurant at the penang gurney drive roundabout. The table next to mine was a couple happily consuming a huge turtle (i swear its huge). They restaurant must have cracked the shell cos i saw the couple picking the shell aside to consume the flesh. everytime the picked the shell with the chopstick, i could see the slimey-ish effect. I never return to that restaurant again.

my cat went missing 5 months ago, i posted his missing posters everywhere for months but nobody returns him. i live in gated community surely somebody has him. maybe somebody ate him.. :(

they eat bears? i want to try that and i want to know if they eat the things you said. so curious how they cook it. in India we cannot eat beef for coq is sacred. thanks to your question.
I wonder what news and press you were exposed to. Is it US based? I guess it is because these are not the kind of things that we would eat. I have no idea where you get you information.

The Bear...sounds like you are sensitive to straight answers. Is it because you are not used to some Asian not bowing down to you. That is the way you people speak in the US and I learn from you.

Why do you think that we Asians are the only one eating weird stuff? Why don't you ask if where exotic foods are in the US?

You people eat insects. Disgusting!!! A typical barbaric diet. With the link above, does that make it a fact, just because its written by your own press? Or is this an isolated event? Use your head, if you have one, before asking questions.
I've heard of one or two in Sarawak where they sell all sorts of things such as bats wings and bears feet, but of course there is nothing written anywhere. These type of restaurants get to be known by word of mouth.

(Can I have my 11 thumbs down now please)

wow i see that the 'mad dog' is barking at the mountain again hehehe! thanks for that saying Bo$$, it really is true !
the possibility is always there. but couldn't provide any details as i have no idea on that. sorry.

I have eaten turtle and deer meat before but it was long time ago in Puchong and Bentong. I know some restaurants still sell them even until now, though.
