Anyone ever requested refund from Income Tax dept? |
Travel Info Last year June, I requested refunds for 2004 to current assessments. Kampong Attap HQ said to check back in 2-3 months. Called them up in November, they said my file transferred to Cheras for processing. Called Cheras also in Nov and they said they're in the midst of processing it and to call back in 1 month. Since December when I call them to check on the status, all they do is ask my file number, then tell me its in process and will take about 3 months to do so and telling me to call back in 3 months time. I've been calling them every month without fail and its the same answer each time. Then today I call and got a different answer. They said they only got my electronic file for 2006. 2004/2005, they don't have it so can only process 2006 refunds.. which will take 3 months. For 04/05, I need to submit my assessment at Kg Attap. What the f*&^ ???? Anyone been through this process before and what did you do to finally expedite this whole thing? How long before you got the cheque? Travel Tips Income tax...arghhhhh....Its really hard to get ur money back.... it took almost a year for my hubby to get back his money ...they'll give all the craps to delay it...u better chase them Others yes, the amount its about 3K+ and it took me more than a year. that is how good our tax department are. and have have to go few times to chase for my money, what a waste of time but worth it. The end result will be you oweing them and you will have to pay it in 30 days or you will be paying interest on what they say you owe!!!!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK nope, never. sorry Yes, I have had my tax refund cheque sent to my mailing address in Year 2006 for the extra tax paid in Year 2005. It was only a couple hundreds though. I am still waiting for the one paid in excess for Year 2006. |
