What do you think of this? |
Travel Info http://asia.news.yahoo.com/070519/afp/07... Travel Tips it just a football game, why make it so complicated? where is the spirits of sportsmanship? Others i thought we are an independent country already and got freedom in our decision making AFC must take this a challenge in bringing up the quality of asian football/soccer. Not interfering internal affair of other countries. Furthermore, this event not organized by FAM [football association of malaysia], so AFC has no right and has no control over this. but of course AFC can always voice out their concern anytime It boils down to who should be given priority - sports players or sports fans. Since fans pay the bills, they should have the last say on what they want to see. If players think they are so good, they will not have an issue about attracting fans with or without another event happening concurrently. Why should these players be given priority just because they are Asians? Contractually, the FAM (Football Assoc. of Malaysia) screwed up as they had not anticipated a clash and the AFC (Asian Football Confederation) is fuming and threathening sanctions etc. Will sanctions help the players or fans? Nope. Hmmm..so who is the AFC trying to help? Just guarding their turf for the sake of it? Malaysia should go ahead with the MU match. The people want it for visit Malaysia year and the fans love it. I think it's time for Asian football to prove that they still have what it takes to make football no 1 sport in Asia. If the footbal in Asia really still at their best then there's no need to worry of overshadowed by much much more popular teams, such as MU. Players can take the role of making football more interesting in Asia. Banning visits by those European clubs doesn't really helps. But if the visit was really organized by Tourism Malaysia, then FAM shouldn't pening2 whether to allow or not MU from coming. I support my local team, even though they didn't do very good this season. I totally support AFC on it's stand. And i believe any country that is bound by AFC's rule should obey to its requirement. Otherwise a fine should be placed and no future hosts job for Malaysia. Man Utd came to Malaysia 6yrs ago, Brazil came before the World Cup in 2002, yet the Malaysian football is getting worse. Sanctions by AFC would be much worse for the Malaysian football than denying Man Utd coming, which does not bring any profits in terms of footballing sense. My god.. those ppl really envy malaysia. why so afraid of effects of the game.. the purpose is to boom malaysia tourism industry.. -- |
