Genting Casino?

Is there a dress code for the casino there? (Like in other casinos) would sport shoes, jeans and a T-shirt be acceptable? If not can one hire a shirt and jacket, shoes etc for the evening?

This is funny... I wanted to ask this question for quite sometime too, but never felt the need as I knew what it was like at first hand's experience.

You see, I was bringing a friend over there for a visit and both of us were decently dressed up (collarless though). Upon entering the entrance, we were halted by the auxiliary police for 'indecent' dressing and we should have worn something with collars...

I stood by the main entrance with my friend for a few minutes, telling her that she should see how others are being treated. In just a few seconds... another person wearing t-shirt (collarless as we are) and jeans/sandals walked through freely and there's no questions about him. I thought he was just another staff until I saw a group of other people who walked through the entrance without any problems (and they were wearing simple clothing just the same as ours).

It was no big deal and nothing to be taken too personally as I was not there for gambling (TheBear don't gamble) and it wasn't my first time there.

Despite all that I had gone through, wearing sport shoes, jeans and T-shirt is acceptable to a certain degree, I guess (from my observation, it is really up to the security to discriminate)... and yes, you can hire a shirt and jacket over there. Source(s): Been to much better casinos in Cambodia... no dumb rules like the ones in Genting.

in the states, the casino's will have a sign posted as to what type of attire is required for entry,but most of the casinos allow casual attire.many casino's offer two type's of gambling establishmants one that is for the upper income patrons and another that is for the general public.
Casino De Genting Dress Code

Patrons wearing decently presentable, fitting and clean T-shirts (with collar), long sleeve batik shirt or long sleeve shirt with tie or lounge suit or bush jacket are allowed to enter the casino, including International Room and VIP Gaming Room.
Patrons wearing T-shirts with company advertisements such as the promotion of soft drinks and beers, offensive or political slogans are not allowed to enter the casino.
Casino patrons must observe the smart dress code upon entering the Casino. Patrons wearing hats, sunglasses, slippers, sandals, short pants, T-shirt with round collar and sports wear are not allowed.

And yep, they also have batik shirts & jackets for rental but they dont rent out any shoes and other stuff..
