Laguna Redang or Berjaya Redang?

Would like to visit the ever famous Redang island in Aug. Was recommended the above 2 resorts. I am aware that Berjaya is costlier but friends told me that Laguna Redang is as good & cheaper.
1) For those who had stayed in these 2 resorts, I need your kind advise.
2) Apart from snorkelling, is there any other activities which I must try?

guess what! i just got back from redang island and i was staying in laguna beach resort....
well depends on whut u are into..
if u prefere some quite,less people and more peaceful,relaxing enviroment better go to berjaya because it is separate from other chalets and resort.AND expensive.
while laguna is among others chalets and resorts which is pack with ppl,but its fun coz' ull found urself mixing with friendly ppl

i advise u to take a package to go to laguna,coz it is away cheaper then just walk-in, coz boats gonna cost u rm 100 for 2 ways...!!
well i went there with package,so u can try it by log on to http://pinganchorage.com.
they provides u good packages...plus with 2 way boats,lunch breakfast dinner,bbq,bus,snorkelling trip and other outdoor activities..
its is soo much fun in laguna...
try it! it will give u a good memorieS=)

your friends is right, laguna is cheaper and good. i ll go for laguna redang if i were you. snokling is a walking distance from the that hotel
Of course Laguna...

1. Money saving is one of the factors.
2. You are able to walk around (bigger circumference)
3. They have in house games...

Try walking to the next smaller resort (sorry, I forgot the name) and go to the end. You find a cove there and put on your snokelling gear. You be surprise, you can end up in the next village too.. I tried that. The feeling was good!

if u prefer secluded area & less ppl better to venture to Berjaya Resort..
if you prefer mixing with ppl better take the laguna redang.

my experience staying in berjaya redang shows that less choice of food selection apart from dining at the hotel itself. (even though the food is excellent)..
however, i do have appreciate spending my precious time & scenery by ourself..

my suggestion is this.. if you are planning to stay more that 3days 2 nights better stay in Laguna redang,, u may have choice to venture the night life & try other dining area..
if you want to spend precious / romantic time with your spouse better choice Berjaya Redang..
