What was the most valuable thing lost that was returned to you by a stranger? |
Travel Info How do you rate your chances of getting your wallet back, with money, if you were to drop it? Travel Tips There was a homeless guy and his dog sitting on the pavement begging for money. As I walked passed him he said 'excuse me' very loudly. Naturally I ignored him, but he kept shouted it over and over again, louder and louder. Finally I looked back and he pointed to the ground where my wallet had fallen in front of him. Since then I have had the greatest respect for the homeless on the streets. Others MY PURSE! i once lost my entire purse, in which was every form of ID i owned except a birth certificate. I put word out to all people who worked in the area i lost it in. And about a week later I got a call from someone who had found it! i guess it just all depends on where you loose something.. in a big city or other crowded place i wouldn't guess odds are high of getting something valueable returned...there's always hope for a good samaritan though! but in a small town, or business people seem to be more helpful/honest about returning things to their owners. none....nothing happen so far i would say is my wallet. many years ago, in genting highland i lost my wallet.either drop it or stolen. the next day my friend saw my wallet stick in front of a cashier of a amusement park and i went to get it back. all my atm card and ic is in the wallet. the only thing missing is money. not much about RM 30-40 but i m glad to get back my wallet. i would i m lucky.chances of my friend saw my wallet in a cashier is very low because he dont play game, just happen to be there. my pouch with my passport/wallet at a restaurant.. thank god the manager actually ran to catch up with me so far nothing.hope not.... Never got anything back. |
