What is msc status company and how is the achievement so far after so many yrs? |
Travel Info well, the thing is that I almost forget abt this MSC thing not until recently it appeared in news regarding a meeting they had in KL Travel Tips MSC status companies are provided a list of incentives under the Bills of Guarantees offered under the initiative. Among the key incentives include tax-exemption on businesses for up to 10 years; full foreign ownership and also free movement of foreign talent. In terms of success, MSC claims to host over 1800 companies after 10 years. Though this is a compounded number, it does not necessarily reflect the actual state of affairs. Many companies in the list are dormant ones and have been kept in the list despite the lack of activity. In 2002, a review on MSC concluded that the level of success was elementary considering other IT clusters like Hyderabad (India), Dubai Internet City (UAE) and the Korean clusters have been more successful that the MSC. The current thrust in digital media/animation is a positive step for the MSC initiative but real measurable success and impact to the economy is still a challenge. Others MSC status company is a gimmick from government to drawn foreign investor as well as local investor to set up technology company. those company must have an office in either Technology park, KLCC and Cyberjaya. My opinion the many of our local company apply it and it does not help them on business grow, infact my fail and many close down. there were plenty of msc news/updates during the previous leadership time, because previous leadership were into modern technology advancements. in order to survive this forsaken world we need to keep up with the latest and the best he said. since the current leadership took over, i hardly hear anything about msc or new technology. it is somewhat sounded so alien nowadays coz current leadership promotes tapping rubbers and agricultures. with all the price hike they said, those who cant afford fuel should cycle to work. it is a waste of taxpayers money and effort by not continuing msc progress making sure it truly works. |
