How do you describe yourself being Malaysians? |
Travel Info This is in conjuntion with the 50th Anniversary Merdeka Day. Travel Tips Well, how about the way Malaysians disgrace themselves with the Negaraku? I've never seen a country so hypocritical about their nationalistic spirit and patriotism by dishonoring the Negaraku by making parodies and not even taking heed to it, despite being publicly played. I think Malaysians are a bunch of people who love being among their 'geng' and love criticizing one another. They'll talk about all the great things and despise one another at the same time. Its like the saying I've once heard... "see a ----- see a snake, kill the ------, spare the snake"... The answerer above me.... no offense, since I do like some of her answers but she was kinda harsh at other user here for saying something from his heart about being Malaysian. What's so wrong about that? Personally, I guess many other Malaysians feel the same way too. You've spoken about Iraqis and Sudanese but you know nuts about the discrimination and racial profiling in your own country, yet you still talk so lowly about others. Try doing your own research, stand up on Negaraku and perhaps, wear the jalur gemilang as your working suit everyday if you're too patriotic about your Malaysian spirit within. Sudirman did that... why shouldn't you, if you're going to be so ultra supremacist about being a Malaysian? Honestly, I know how much thumbs down I'm going to get after this, but I still don't care about it because I've seen the two faces of Malaysians and it is just at a worrying state... If you Malaysians truly love one another, then you should consider what I've said truthfully. There's nothing derogatory of which I hoped for but only the best of your own nation building. Many people boast about Malaysia's independence and the bullcrap of the 'Muhibbah' spirit... but in reality, it never really happened. Malaysians, to me, are like a bunch of depressed, suppressed citizens in the control of an ultra racist government which has nothing else better to do but sucking the blood and taxes of its citizens. Worse still, the younger generations are being brainwashed from early stages to support the government and had been told of so much lies and conspired many things that happened in the course of history. You call this democracy? Independence? Racial harmony?... Like one user mentioned in some posts ago... "Bangsa Malaysia will never happen"... and maybe that is a worrying fact that Malaysians should remind themselves of their purpose of their rights as citizens anyway. 50 years of independence... do Malaysians really appreciate it today? Do they know how to live as a sovereign, independent nation together? Think about it... Others nothing to be proud and despise on,merdeka! Being a malaysian the best i can discribe is "tak apa la" Tolerant, and thankful for the peace and racial harmony that many of the younger generation takes for granted. NOTE: Can somebody please enlighten me? Am I right to interpret that the above question asks how I see MYSELF as a Malaysian? And NOT how I see ALL Malaysians? For I can only answer for myself as being tolerant of other races and other people's shortcomings and I am thankful for the peace (I was born before May 13, 1969). And that's DEFINITELY NOT how I see other Malaysians, with exceptions, of course. settle everything with $ Being born in this miserable country????? Enjoy many kinds of delicious food! |
